Led by Ellis Mace PMHNP, our groups focus on specific challenges like bipolar disorder or trauma, offering both education and a safe environment for healing.

Unlike group therapy, which requires you to be a client, our support groups are open to anyone seeking community and connection. These groups emphasize education and support and help you gain insights from others, share your own journey, and walk away with practical tools to manage your mental health. UNLOCK PERSONALIZED PSYCHIATRY

GeneSight Testing

Struggling to find the right medication? At Mace Behavioral Health, we offer GeneSight — an advanced, specialized service that brings precision to psychiatric care. GeneSight testing uses cutting-edge pharmacogenomics to analyze how your unique genetic makeup may influence your response to common psychiatric medications.

With just a simple cheek swab, this test can help reduce frustrating medication trials and accelerate the path to feeling better. Your results empower your provider to make personalized, data-informed medication decisions tailored specifically to you.

If you’re ready for a smarter, more targeted approach to your mental health treatment, ask about GeneSight testing at your next appointment. Discover how science and psychiatry work together to help you find the right medication — faster.

What is GeneSight testing, and how can it help?

GeneSight is a pharmacogenomic testing service that analyzes how your genetic makeup may affect your body’s response to certain psychiatric medications. Specifically, it looks at genetic variations in key enzymes that influence how medications are metabolized. This information helps your psychiatric provider make more personalized and informed decisions about which medications may be most effective for you — potentially reducing the trial-and-error process and shortening the time it takes to feel better.

How Does GeneSight work?

A GeneSight testing kit is ordered by the practitioner or provided during your appointment at Mace Behavioral Health.
1.        You complete a simple cheek swab (painless and non-invasive).
2.        The kit is mailed to the GeneSight laboratory for analysis.
3.        A detailed report is sent directly to your provider.
4.        Your provider reviews the results with you and discusses tailored medication options based on your genetic profile.

GeneSight testing is a straightforward and evidence-based tool that supports more precise psychiatric treatment, helping improve the likelihood of finding the right medication sooner.
